We had a safe trip back thanks
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baan Mali / Samran Gardens. The accommodation was spacious & well kept. We liked the finer points about the property such as bath, outdoor shower, walk-in wardrobe, study, wi-fi, cable & storage area off the kitchen, all of which set this villa apart from some others we have seen, and made for a more homely stay during our month there. The garden had plenty of room for our daughter to run about, and the pool was excellent with a good mix of sun and shade through the day.
Samran Gardens is a beautiful setting, and I spent many an afternoon walking around it with my children getting them off to sleep. It's in a remote location, which brings peace and quiet, and exactly what we were looking for, giving that sense of truly being on a remote Thai island, rather than some tourist strip. The house / pool cleaners and gardeners were all fantastic too.
Maenam was definitely our favourite area of Koh Samui; a village with pretty much everything you need. Good restaurants, cracking beach, stores & pubs. I would recommend Twins restaurant at the bottom of the road to anyone, and it was a firm favourite with us most nights, and no doubt the proprietor misses me popping in for food, a chat and maybe a beer. We also enjoyed the Lazy Coconut, simply because our daughter had a great time playing with all the toys that the owners have inside for them, and my wife and I could relax and eat some good food.
No-one who staying here will be disappointed

We can't thank you enough for contributing to a great holiday for us on Samui.
Baan Mali was absolutely superb accommodation and ticked all boxes for us. Luxurious, spotless, private, we could easily run out of adjectives !
Feel free to refer any prospective renter to us for a glowing reference.
Location: No seriously, you strongly recommended car-hire pre-trip and this is of course a must given the SG location. This leaves no surprises or false impressions. Ideal. Your recommendation of Thai Rent-a-Car was spot-on.
One very minor point - incorrectly under impression that transfers (in our case to/from ferry @ Na Thon) was courtesy of Samran Gardens. Perhaps a slight lack of info on this point and maybe should be highlighted pre-arrival. No big deal though.
A pleasure to meet you all and big thanks especially to Ray for all of the 'local' tips and advice.
Dining: The Five Islands Restaurant. Wow. Worth the drive.
Been to Samui before and will return again no doubt.
It will take one helluva place to draw us away from Samran Gardens in future.

Dear Stuart We want to let you know that we have been extremley satisfied by the Baan Mali villa we rented last January/February. The house is very pleasant,well furnished and nicely decorated. From the swimming pool you have an amazing view on the garden and her wonderful tropical trees. The garden of the housing estate are beautiful and all the time well maintain by a team of gardeners. The location is very calm and quiet which is not the case of most of the place in Koh Samui. We really had a great vacation and would recommend warmly this Baan Mali house to all customers. La maison - Baan Mali 02.02.08 - 02.03.08 Un endroit paradisiaque, où le calme règne toute la journée, un vrai bonheur que la maison Baan Mali Villa, l'accueil de Stuart et son epouse son à la hauteur du standing de Samran garden. Just an email to say thank you. We had a great time and only wished we'd come earlier. Thank you for so many things, transfers, car, and your friendly easy going manner and making our stay so easy.
And also a big thank you to you and your neighbors who helped us get John's laptop out of the lock box on the Toyota Hilux the night before we left! That was a funny night.
I hope you and your wife are well and your new addition to the family arrived safe and sound!!

An idea of paradise where quietness reigns all day long in this very nice villa Baan Mali. The service from Stuart and his Wife, Aa, reflect the standard of Samran Gardens. We highly recommend this little haven to all the families looking to stay on Samui.
